Child of God, does it bother you when people criticize what you do? Criticism can hurt if we care about how other people think of us. Some people change the way that they do things, or what they wear or their friends if they come under criticism by people whose opinions they care about. However, if we are living a Christian life according to how Jesus has called on us to live, should we care about how others think about us? Or should we only be concerned with how God thinks about us? The Apostle Paul was greatly criticized during his ministry. However, he knew that he was in God’s hands. Look at 1 Corinthians 4:4 (NIV):

“My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent. It is the Lord who judges me.”

At the end of our lives, we will stand before God, and God alone, to give an account of ourselves. If we are walking in God’s love for us, we will live our lives according to that love and what it means to us. Personally, I care more of what God thinks of me than what man thinks of me. It is impossible to please others, because they always use shifting criteria about how they see us. God never changes! His love for us never changes. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. When His children make a mistake and sin, He sees us through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross and we are forgiven. What do I care what man thinks of me!
