Every day we run into situations which take us out of our comfort zone and stretch us. We’re not sure what God’s will is for us, so we’re hesitant to go into anything risky. But God wants the best for us and will never take us anywhere without giving us the ability to be victorious. Did you know that God has a plan for your life? He has a ministry for each one of us that is tailor-made. He wants us to be successful! Our Heavenly Father brings situations into our life each day to mold us and shape us into who He wants us to be. Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) tells us:

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Many Christians have been called into ministry or into some specific task that God has prepared for them. The problem is that many of God’s children have not put God first in their lives and are not interested in serving God in any way. Others want to serve God but their life situation makes it difficult to do so.  Or they are afraid of what people will think of them. But God wants us to be witnesses wherever we are, whatever we do.

If you read my encouraging word a couple of days ago, you’ll remember that the bible tells us that faith without works is dead. Just having faith is not enough – we need to move ahead trusting in God for help. We’re told in Hebrews 10:38 (NLT) that:

“And my righteous ones will live by faith. But I will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away”

Self-doubt causes us to shrink back in fear. This verse doesn’t mean that God abandons those that don’t live in faith, but that He is disappointed that we’re not trusting Him enough.

When you are living in faith and troubles arise, don’t lose hope. God is always with us and will help us when we defy our fears and move ahead in faith. Don’t let Satan or other people tell you that you’re wrong in what you’re doing or that you’re not capable. If our hearts are sincere and we are honestly seeking God’s will, God will guide us. If we make a mistake, God will get us back on track.
