I want to start this Daily Encouraging Word quoting Ephesians 1:4-5 (NKJV):
“Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will…”
There isn’t much love in the world today. However, there is one who loves us unconditionally. No matter who we are, no matter what we’ve done, God loves us. It doesn’t matter if we believe in Him or not, He still loves us. Unfortunately, not everyone accepts this fact – many turn their back on the love that our Heavenly Father has for them. But in His love, God made a way for the world to come into a loving relationship with Him. Look at what Romans 5:8 (NKJV) says:
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
This is the great gift that God has given those who love Him and accept what Jesus did on the cross. When we accept Jesus and confess our sins to Him, we come into an eternal relationship with God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. For those who don’t accept this great gift, there is only darkness in their spiritual future. Mankind needs love – it’s one of our basic needs. To be whole and complete, you and I need to know that we’re loved and accepted by others. And as Christians, we are called upon to show God’s love to others. However, our love is not always returned.
And this is the message that I feel the Holy Spirit wants me to pass on to you today. You won’t be loved by everyone! There will always be those who won’t accept you or love you no matter what you do! But, it’s OK to not be loved by everyone! Concentrate on those who love you and want a relationship with you. Because of His love for us, I believe that our Heavenly Father will bring people to us who will love us. People that we can come into Christian fellowship with. If we look to Jesus, He will help us to make good choices concerning who we make friends with. Let the Holy Spirit guide you into who you should be close to. He knows better than us who is best for us.
What I want to leave you with today is that God offers His love freely and continuously. His love does not include an “IF” statement – He will love us “IF” we do something. God always loves us, no matter what we do. God doesn’t love us because we deserve it; He loves us because that is His nature.
