1. God Works IN Us to Fulfill Our Purpose

Philippians 2:13, NIV — “For it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.”

God loves us so much, that He even works in our hearts by His Spirit to create in us the desire and willingness to act out His good purpose for us, so that He can bless us.

  1. God Works FOR Us to Fulfill Our Purpose

Romans 8:28, NIV – And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Once we start to act out His good purpose in our lives, God brings “all things” … all of the resources of heaven, to bear on our lives to ensure that we will succeed.

  1. God Works AHEAD Of Us to Fulfill Our Purpose

Ephesians 2:10, NIV — For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

God is so committed to helping us fulfill our purpose that He actually creates opportunities in advance for us to accomplish, so that we are more likely to stay on the pathway to our purpose.

  1. God Works BEHIND Us to Fulfill Our Purpose

Jeremiah 15:11, NIV – The LORD said, “Surely I will deliver you for a good purpose in times of disaster and times of distress.”

When we do face challenges or obstacles, or “mess up”, God will intervene in our lives with the intention of freeing us out of those messes and helping us with the consequences of those messes, so that we can get back on track for our purpose.

  1. God Works THROUGH Us to Fulfill Our Purpose

2 Thessalonians 1:11. NIV – “With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may … by his power … fulfill every good purpose of yours and every act prompted by your faith.”

When our purpose is aligned with God’s purpose, God works with us and through us, to ensure that His (and therefore our) purpose is fulfilled.

  1. God Works WITH Us to Fulfill Our Purpose

Ephesians 1:11, NIV – “In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will.”

When we walk according to God’s purpose for our lives, God will bring all sorts of other circumstances and external situations to bear on our lives, to help us fulfill His purpose for our lives.

Through the two seminars “Discovering Your Purpose”, Part I and Part II,  you are going to be given the tools you need to discover what is your purpose in life, what path you need to be on, and how to get to where you need to go. That’s what “Purpose” is all about. Purpose is not just knowing what you should be doing, but also being able to “picture” what you should be doing, knowing what steps to take to get there, and being able to monitor your progress to make sure that you stay on track.
